Whenever there is an event in scoutbook.org (hikes, pack meetings, campouts, and other scouting events), the parent of the scout on file receives an email (or usually multiple emails at intervals of 1 week, 1 day and 1 hour) prior to the event. However many people have asked "How does more than 1 parent receive the emails"

  1. Create an account in https://my.scouting.org/create-account

  2. Navigate to https://advancements.scouting.org/

  3. Select ‘Profile’ on the Navigation Bar on the left.

  4. Select child from the “Parents / Guardians For” list.

  5. Under “Relationships” on the left, select the Plus icon, opening the “Parent/Guardian Invitation” pop-up box.

  6. Select the middle tab “Search Scouting ID“, Enter: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Zip Code.

  7. Select the matching record from the below drop down.

  8. Select relationship.

  9. Click Save.

  10. You will receive an email invite for the parent association ?

NOTE You should show up in the parent role right after you accept the invitation for the parent association, but it may take some time in order to be able to access to the new scoutbook areas

NOTE If you want to know how to sync your phone with the scoutbook calendar mentioned above, so that any new, or updated events are updated on your phones calendar, see this article: https://www.pack905.org/articles/how-to-sync-calendar-events-with-advancements-scouting-org
