Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 905!
Hello Prospective Cub Scout Families,
Thank you for your interest in Cub Scout Pack 905! We are excited to welcome families in the Sterling, Virginia area and introduce you and your child to everything Cub Scouting has to offer.
Our Pack is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Cub Scouts is a fun way for kids to build friendships, learn new skills, explore the outdoors, serve their community, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Parents are an important part of the experience, and you don't need any prior Scouting experience to get involved.
What Do Cub Scouts Do?
There is something for everyone in Cub Scouts! Activities with Pack 905 may include:

🥾 Hiking and exploring nature
🚗 Pinewood Derby
🤝 Community service projects
🔬 STEM and science activities
🎨 Crafts and hands-on activities
🎯 Games and team-building activities
📅 Monthly Pack meetings
👥 Den meetings with Scouts in the same grade
🎉 Special outings and family events
Our goal is to provide Scouts with opportunities to have fun, learn, lead, and grow while spending time with their families and other Scouts.
How Cub Scouts Works
Scouts are organized into dens based on their grade, with each grade working on activities and achievements appropriate for their age. Dens meet regularly, while the entire Pack comes together for larger activities and events.
Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their Scouts. There are plenty of opportunities to help, but you don't need to be a Scouting expert. Whether you can help with an occasional activity, attend events, organize an outing, or take on a larger volunteer role, there is a place for you.
When and Where Do We Meet?
Pack 905 usually meets on the first Thursday of every month at Algonkian Elementary School in Sterling, VA.
Den meetings and special activities may take place at other times and locations throughout the year.
